A note from the RW this morning clears up some points we may have got wrong. She e-mails:-

"It appears that these big ticket issues are actually your main priorities for the next year not big problems. Funny, I thought issues were usually complaints!!!!!!! Just as well I asked eh???

I remembered another one……. our job appraisal reports this year had to be 'grandfathered' by higher management (my boss's  boss) before they were signed off. Apparently, this is the buzz word for something being okayed by a higher authority!"

I suppose this would mean that the Dean's inspection report would have to be "grandfathered" by the bishop before we got a copy of his appraisal of the state of our parishes?
