Liberal Bishop of Washington John Chane has stated he is not prepared to hold to the moratorium on gay ordinations. This is one of the first public declarations of defiance to Rowan Williams' plans to hold the Communion together.
Bishop Chane is regarded as one of the most liberal of Church Leaders in Anglicanism. It is not clear how far his liberalism extends.
In the USA it is possible to purchase clerical attire for your dog
This makes it feasable to extend ordination to the animal kingdom. In an Inclusive Church it is surely discriminatory to show blatant prejudice in barring the family pet from holy orders.

Surely to only provide clerical attire for dogs is discriminatory to other pets. What about the cats, budgies, goldfish and hamsters out there that want to take up holy orders?
By all means ordain the mutts and moggies - but wouldn't that make the clergy both more "dog" -matic and catty?
