The Parkhead lot can be just as bad, believe me! However, I've always felt safe enough in a Celtic crowd, but extremely threatened for my safety among a crowd of Rangers fans

Yep, definitely true. There are lots of Rangers fans at St.Silas, and we all obviously hate Catholics and sing songs about the pope and IRA. This is in no way a malignant cliche being used to discount people on the basis of what football team they support.

I always thought there was something dodgy about St Silas. Thanks for that info Ryan. PS I wonder what these guys would do to you at matches if they knew you were gay? Fascism has answers for that "little problem" too! The vast majority of your hardcore travelling support are knuckledraggers. Or was Manchester just a figment of my imagination?

So you don't get gay football fans now? That's just another cliche. Do you really think that police records and the like would confirm that "the vast majority" of Rangers' fans behaved in the manner you're suggesting? And wouldn't abandoning one's football team because of the actions of a minority be letting the idiots win? Gay people have as much right to support Rangers as anyone else. Your reductionism is not dissimilar to a orange bigot claiming that all Celtic fans are closet IRA supporters.
