Well, it will be a silent ight for the residents of Church Court, as dad stays in hospital in Paisley. He seemed a bit confused tonight, according to the RW who visited him faithfully. Tomorrow is another day, and we'll see how things go.
The "quick" Vestry Meeting tonight lasted until after 9pm, but Annual Accounts had to be gone through, and some tough financial decisions made. We thought we had quite a bit of cash in investments which just aren't there at the moment, and we don't want to sell shares at rock-bottom prices to build the hall. Cost-cutting has to come from elsewhere.
Never thought I'd be in a Parish where there was money, really, and I'm finding it all a bit uncomfortable at the moment!

Lovely of Linda to visit your Dad . .
About a month ago I idly looked at Dumbarton property prices which seemed remarkably cheap compared to here ~ Who knows , in a few years time I may even relocate there : I used to be able to affect a good Scottish accent , which could insulate me from anti-english sentiments !
With warmest thoughts and good wishes ,
~ Martin .
