The doctor signed me off work for two weeks on Wednesday, there, and I let the Diocesan Office know, since the bishop couldn't be contacted. However, it seems that as clergy we need to work through these things. Who cares for the carers? So, I'm preparing for Sunday services anyway, off sick or not. Thank God for a caring congregation!

Last night I had to attend a crucial meeting with the architect and Quantity Surveyor. We need to make savings of at least £160,000 if the new hall is to be built to our budget. It feels that we have to content ourselves with second best, and I'm not a happy bunny as I take that in. We were left some money last year, and there is suspicion that firms know this as they tender for the job. We would have expected builders to be biting our hands off for the job in the economic downturn, but no.

Anyway, I'm off to my hypnotherapist today in the hope that she will lift the mood a bit and at least get me up and running to perform the necessary priestly duties over the weekend! At £40 - £50 a session, it's not really affordable, but it seems I need to feel better and get back into action pronto.
