In the last week or so:

The Central Heating has broken down
I've had to abandon a car in an icy-cold car park a mile from my house - dead battery
My father has been at his worst, health-wise
The electricity went off for hours as they dug massive holes in the road outside The Rectory
My laptop died a death and I lost all my files and email addresses since April 2008
A rat has died in the heating ducts in the church somewhere (Phew! What a stink)
I got done for speeding
My phoneline and broadband went off for the better part of a day
The toner I need for my printer, and ordered, is out of stock
The Church copier got broken
My living flame fire has just exploded - well the fuse went "bang"! No fire!

No wonder Peanut ran away last night.
