There comes a point when you have to ask yourself that question! I've managed to fall out with three good people in the past 24 hours. Of course, every one of them was wrong and I was right. Still am! However, you need to ask yourself, when these things keep happening to you... is it possibly me?

No. I expect what has happened is that you have come to the conclusion that you have fallen out with some friends. For those of us who are mad that may be a completely different explanation of the situation than its reality.
For example, we had a bit of a row about something but we didn't fall out. We didn't even swear at each other (which is unusual on my part).
For goodness sake, Kenny. We're blokes. Blokes argue. What a boring, stagnant experience this life would be if we didn't.
Now, remember what you learnt in your cognitive therapy sessions and then go and get ready for the next fight. (Anytime, mate. Anytime!)-

Fr. Kenny - I grew up in and around Chicago. Many years ago when I was working for the Japanese government at the consulate we organized a dinner cruise on the lake and I ended up talking to these Japanese journalists for quite some time about all the gangster trivia, answering all their questions etc. Yes, Chicago has a colorful history when it comes to things like that - but I never took it personally when somebody foreign still seemed to think it was a gangland capitol just because of the stereotypes from the past. I guess I don't see why you are taking it so personally that MP has suggested that there is institutionalized bigotry in Scotland towards England - especially given MPs track record when it comes to his more outspoken opinions. So, Yes, it's you (at least a bit).

Larry, I spent a fortnight in Chicago, probably more than ten years ago now, living in a Rectory on the south-side. I loved it! It reminded me so much of Glasgow, and sure, I walked in areas in daylight and my friends were horrified! It wasn't safe, they said! Safe? Never felt safer in my life!
The people were fantastic and the whole gangster image was so obviously a thing confined to history. Sure, other evils have replaced them, and I witnessed some shocking poverty, although not much in the Episcopal Church!
The thing about Glasgow is that it has this shocking image, which is not helped by people like MP who has a chip on his shoulder about the M8 motorway that runs through Glasgow. He keeps getting lost, you see.
For those with a negative attitude I say, "Come and see!" Things have changed! We have a vibrant multicultural city where race is not a problem, really. We care not if one is Muslim, but rather if they are a Catholic or Protestant Muslim!!!
Yes, there is still religious bigotry, poverty, housing schemes, one in which I grew up, where it is unsafe to walk alone in certain streets, but it is a big city, full of colour, culture and the most amazing architecture!
And where else can you buy deep fried Mars Bars?

Fr if you are confident that you are right, then hold on to it if they are friends indeed they will see your point and give you your right.
